Oklahoma, Nebraska to renew rivalry with games in 2029, 2030

Oklahoma and Nebraska have agreed to play each other in 2029 and 2030, the University of Oklahoma athletic department announced.

The Sooners will host the Cornhuskers in September 2029, and the following year Nebraska will host.

The Sooners and Cornhuskers will play each other next in 2021, when Nebraska will travel to Norman to take on Oklahoma.

The two traditional rival powerhouses haven't played each other since the 2010 Big 12 Championship Game, when Nebraska was still in the Big 12. Nebraska left for the Big 10 the following season.

Oklahoma won that game 23-20, and the Sooners lead the all–time series 45-38-3.

In 1971, No. 1 Nebraska met No. 2 Oklahoma in what was dubbed "The Game of the Century." The game attracted 55 million viewers, which was the largest television audience for a football game ever at the time. Nebraska won the game 35-31.
