Maikhail Miller, former Ole Miss quarterback, dies in crash

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) Authorities say 23-year-old Maikhail Miller, a former quarterback at Mississippi, has died in a single-vehicle crash.

Coroner James Anderson in Mississippi's Marshall County told local media outlets Maikhail Miller's SUV overturned Saturday evening near Holly Springs, ejecting him.

Miller played for Mississippi in 2012-13 and transferred to Murray State University after Mississippi signed highly recruited quarterbacks Devante Kincade and Ryan Buchanan. Miller left Murray State after a year.

He played in two games for Ole Miss, rushing six times for 23 yards.

At Murray State, he had 223 yards and three touchdowns in the 2013 season-opener against a Missouri team that went on to win the SEC East. Overall, he completed 67 percent of his passes for 2,221 yards and 18 touchdowns, rushing for another 430 yards and five scores.
