Four-star running back Kyle Porter committed to Texas on Tuesday.
Four-star running back Kyle Porter committed to Texas on Tuesday, reports the Austin American-Statesman’s Brian Davis.
The report comes in the wake of Porter’s high school teammate Travis Whillock taking to Twitter to congratulate the star rusher on making his college decision.
Porter, who is ranked No. 290 in Scout.com’s class of 2016, as well as the No. 3 Texas running back, chose the Longhorns over TCU and Arkansas.
The Katy, Texas native made his decision after taking an official visit to Austin last month. Porter is now the 15th commitment in Charlie Strong’s recruiting class.
In his senior season, Porter had 235 carries for 1,938 yards and 36 touchdowns.
National signing day is Wednesday.
