CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) Clemson wide receiver Germone Hopper will transfer and play his final college season elsewhere.

Tigers coach Dabo Swinney announced Hopper's decision Wednesday.

The school said in a release that Hopper planned to graduate this summer, then play for another school this fall.

Hopper started three games this past season, catching 21 passes for 317 yards and a touchdown as Clemson (14-1) won the Atlantic Coast Conference title and reached the national championship game where it lost to Alabama 45-40 last month.

Hopper, from Charlotte, North Carolina, had 71 catches for 797 yards in three seasons with the Tigers. He redshirted his freshman season in 2012.
