Albany seeks improvement in 2016

(STATS) - Albany will open the 2016 season at Buffalo for the second consecutive year and host six opponents as part of an 11-game schedule announced Thursday.

The Great Danes are hoping to improve on last year's 3-8 record in coach Greg Gattuso's third season.

Their 51-14 road loss at Buffalo last Sept. 5 was their first matchup with an FBS opponent. This year's game will take place Sept. 2.
