Four-star quarterback recruit Hendon Hooker has committed to Virginia Tech.

Four-star quarterback recruit Hendon Hooker of Dudley High School (NC) has committed to Virginia Tech after visiting the school last week, according to Spencer D. Turkin of 600 WSJS in Raleigh, N.C.

Hooker is the top ranked quarterback prospect in North Carolina and is ranked 22nd for his position in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com.

Hooker was also reportedly considering Missouri, NC State, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh.

Most recently, he is coming off a season in which he& threw for 2,234 yards and 17 touchdowns while also rushing 122 times for 1,217 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Hooker joins a recruiting class that includes defensive back Devante Smith and defensive end Tyjuan Garbutt.
