Virginia Tech indefinitely suspends Adonis Alexander, Houshun Gaines

Cornerback Adonis Alexander and defensive end Houshun Gaines have been suspended indefinitely from the Virginia Tech football program, the university announced.

No further details about the suspension were disclosed.

Alexander finished his freshman campaign with 55 combined tackles and four interceptions.

Gaines recorded two sacks and two tackles in the team's spring game last weekend.
