Former Baylor commit Kellen Mond, a four-star quarterback recruit, has committed to Texas A&M, he announced Monday night

“This program...is the right program to help make my dreams a reality,” Mond wrote on Twitter.

Mond, who plays at IMG Academy in Florida, was the top uncommitted quarterback prospect in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com. He had narrowed his choices to Auburn and Texas A&M after decommitting from Baylor.

Mond was one of several recruits to decommit from Baylor in the wake of the controversy over the school’s handling of rape allegations against members of the football team. Mond announced on June 1 that he was backing out of his commitment due to the school’s decision to fire Art Briles.
