Sooners cornerback Jordan Thomas was arrested Thursday morning for assault, battery and public intoxication, reports The Oklahoman’s Ryan Aber.

This is the second off-field incident for Thomas this off-season. He was also arrested in December after failing to appear in court for a traffic violation.

Thomas played a big role for Oklahoma last season. He started 11 games, recording 46 tackles and five interceptions en route to an All-Big 12 second-team selection.

Jordan was released from police custody later Thursday. The Sooners have yet to comment on the matter.
