A suspect has been arrested for burglarizing the family of deceased Nebraska punter Sam Foltz while they were at the team’s game against Fresno State, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
Jordan Foltz, the brother of Sam Foltz, posted a message on Facebook Sunday in which he said his house and car were broken into while the family was at the game.
“These past few weeks have been some of the most hard, tiring, emotional and trying times I've ever ran up against in my thirty years on this earth as I lost a friend a role model and most importantly a brother. And tonight as we celebrated and mourned my brother for all he accomplished in his career as a Person a Nebraskan and a Husker in Lincoln some (s--- bag) was back here in our home town breaking into my house and my vehicles probably seeing our family as a easy target as we were all in Lincoln.”
The day was supposed to be one of remembrance for Sam Foltz, who was honored by the program before the start of the game.
Greeley County Sheriff's Office confirmed that approximately $1,400 worth of goods were stolen from Jordan Foltz.
