BOONE, N.C. (AP) Appalachian State running back Marcus Cox has left Saturday's game against Miami with a lower body injury and will not return, the team announced.

Cox, the Mountaineers' leading rusher, appeared to injure himself at the end of a 55-yard touchdown run that was called back because of a holding penalty.
