Appalachian State RB Cox leaves game with lower body injury

BOONE, N.C. (AP) Appalachian State running back Marcus Cox has left Saturday's game against Miami with a lower body injury and will not return, the team announced.

Cox, the Mountaineers' leading rusher, appeared to injure himself at the end of a 55-yard touchdown run that was called back because of a holding penalty.

Cox has seven carries for 30 yards. He came into the game with 248 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

Jalin Moore has taken over at running back for the Mountaineers.
