KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Carrington Mosley ripped off a 52-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter and Liberty beat Kennesaw State 36-21 on Saturday night.

Frankie Hickson had the other big play for the Flames (3-3, 1-0 Big South), returning a kickoff 99 yards after the Owls (4-2, 0-1) had taken a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

Liberty took a 20-14 lead 9 seconds before the half when Stephen Calvert hit B.J. Farrow with a 14-yard touchdown pass. The Flames pushed the lead to 26-14 early in the third on a 3-yard run by Todd Macon. Those two back-breaking drives both took 10 plays, covering a combined 160 yards.

Burks connected with Chaston Bennett, who had a 63-yard TD run in the second, on a 43-yard touchdown early in the fourth, making it 26-21 but Alex Probert kicked his third field goal. He had two 47-yarders and a 50-yarder.

The Owls had a 472-414 advantage in total offense but only scored once on four trips to the red zone, twice failing on fourth down from the 1.
