Syracuse QB goes to locker room after hit

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) Atlantic Coast Conference passing leader Eric Dungey was down on the field for several moments before walking off to the locker room after a hard hit by Clemson linebacker Dorian O'Daniel on Saturday.

Dungey tops the ACC with 328 yards passing a game. He had gained 6 yards on run when he was hit by O'Daniel. Dungey, a 6-foot-3 sophomore, remained down on the field as teammates and trainers gathered around.

Dungey eventually got up slowly and was led to the locker room for evaluation.

Dungey also leads the conference in completions per game and total passing yards. He's second in total offense with 365 yards a game.

Dungey completed 6 of 9 passes for 48 yards before leaving.
