Louisville will try to keep its name in the College Football Playoff conversation as the Cardinals go on the road to take on Monday.

Louisville has completed its conference slate in the ACC and needs Clemson to lose to Wake Forest on Saturday to clinch its spot in the conference title game.

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson continues his Heisman push, passing for 145 yards and running for 153 more as the Cardinals scored 44 unanswered points to beat Wake Forest 44–12.

Houston, a preseason outsider for the playoff, saw its hopes dash with two stunning losses, a six-point loss to Navy and a blowout to SMU. In their last game, Greg Ward Jr. threw for two touchdowns and ran another in a 30–18 win over Tulane on Saturday.

Houston won last season's contest 34–31. In 16 games between the teams all-time, the series is tied 8–8.
