Alabama LB Reuben Foster leaves game with injury

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster left the Chattanooga game early with an apparent hand injury, but quickly returned.

Foster appeared to be clutching his left hand as he came off the field in the first quarter for the top-ranked Crimson Tide. He had been wearing a protective covering on the hand during practices and games because of a chipped bone.

He came back early in the second quarter and made a tackle behind the line on Chattanooga's first play.

Foster came into the game easily leading Alabama with 70 tackles, including seven tackles for a loss and two sacks. The senior is projected as a likely first-round NFL draft pick.
