The Louisville Cardinals take on the Kentucky Wildcats in the famous Governor's Cup rivalry game to end the regular season.

Louisville enters as the favorite with a 9–2 record on the season despite a 36–10 loss to Houston. Quarterback Lamar Jackson finished the day 20 of 43 passing for 211 yards with just one touchdown.

Kentucky is 6–5 and breezed past Austin Peay with a 49–13 win to become bowl eligible. Quarterback Stephen Johnson came off the bench and impressed with five of nine passes completed, which included two second-quarter touchdown passes.

The all-time head-to-head series is tied at 14–14 as Louisville has won the last five contests.
