Friday December 2nd, 2016

Western Michigan takes one step closer to a possible New Year's Six game and a Cotton Bowl berth as it takes on Ohio in the Mid-American Conference Championship.

The Broncos have taken on all foes, including beating two Big Ten teams during the first three weeks of the season.

They are led by quarterback Zach Terrell (72% completion, 3,086 yards), who has thrown 30 touchdowns with only one interception and wideout Corey Davis (1,283 yards, 17 touchdowns). Davis is the FBS career leader in yards receiving.

Ohio closed the regular season by winning three of its last four games. The Bobcats will be making their fourth appearance in the MAC Championship Game and will be looking for their first title.

Western Michigan will also be looking for their first MAC title after a 16-year absence in making the championship game.

Western Michigan has beaten Ohio three straight times.
