(STATS) - New Chattanooga football coach Tom Arth will face a difficult start to his Mocs career this year, facing Jacksonville State, LSU and UT Martin in succession.

He also knows his second regular season will have a competitive ending as Chattanooga has scheduled a Nov. 17, 2018 matchup at South Carolina.

FBSchedules.com said the Mocs will receive a $400,000 guarantee for the game.

Over the last four years, Chattanooga has won three Southern Conference titles and appeared in the FCS playoffs three times. Arth was hired in December following former coach Russ Huesman's departure for Richmond.
