Saint Francis adds three transfers

(STATS) - Saint Francis announced on Wednesday the signing of three transfers for the 2017 season as it seeks to defend its first Northeast Conference title.

The Red Flash have added two graduate transfers, quarterback Bear Fenimore from Houston and wide receiver Jorge Solano from Fordham, as well as defensive back Corey Johnson, who spent last season playing at Air Force Academy Prep.

Fenimore never played in three years at Houston, including a redshirt season, and has two seasons of eligibility remaining. Solano has one season left and Johnson four.

Last year, Saint Francis finished 7-5 under coach Chris Villarrial, sharing the NEC title with Duquesne and advancing to the FCS playoffs for the first time. The Red Flash open Sept. 2 against Lock Haven.
