Tennessee Tech sets 2018 game at Utah State

(STATS) - Tennessee Tech's 2018 matchup at Utah State was set for Sept. 15 on Thursday.

The first-ever meeting will be the Ohio Valley Conference's program 33rd all-time game against FBS competition.

"We like having this game on our schedule because it's going to be a new experience for these guys," Tech second-year coach Marcus Satterfield said. "It's a different part of the country and a completely different style of football. The game will certainly be a challenge for us, but we're looking forward to taking it on."

Tennessee Tech, which was 5-6 last year, will play at Ball State on Sept. 16.
