Notre Dame welcomes Navy to South Bend, Ind., Saturday.

The Fighting Irish are coming off their second loss of the season, a 41-8 beat down against Miami. At 8-2, Notre Dame has already doubled its win total from last year. The fighting Irish had allowed 20 points or less in each of their first eight games, but have surrendered 37 and 41 in their last two games.

The Midshipmen won a 43-40 contest against SMU that snapped a three-game losing streak. Navy's triple-option attack has been led by quarterback Zach Abey, who has 1,202 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns to lead the team in both categories. Running back Chris High is second on the team in carries behind Abey, but it's been sophomore Malcolm Perry who has been a bigger difference maker on the ground. His 9.6 yards per carry are the best mark for any of the Midshipmen and his 736 yards and seven touchdowns are second best on the team.

Last season Navy picked up a 28-27 win over Notre Dame.
