Ohio State and Washington will meet up in Pasadena for the 105th Rose Bowl Tuesday.

The Buckeyes put together a 12–1 season, only being tripped up by Purdue along the way. Sophomore quarterback Dwayne Haskins set multiple school records and finished as a Heisman Trophy finalist after throwing for 4,580 yards and 47 touchdowns. The Big Ten and Pac-12 champions matchup will also be Urban Meyer's last game coaching the Buckeyes. Meyer, who served a three-game suspension at the season's start, will enter retirement.

Washington finished the season with a 10–3 record and had the Pac-12's top rushing defense (116 yards per game) in 2018. The Huskies' defense poses the biggest threat to slowing down the Buckeyes, who will also need to look out for running back Myles Gaskin. The Washington senior tallied 1,147 rushing yards and 10 scores this season.

Both schools will each make their 15th Rose Bowl appearances, but Tuesday's game marks the first time they have faced off in the "Grandaddy of Them All." The two schools last played each other in 2007, and Ohio State leads the series 8–3 overall.
