Jose Jose back on the big-man market

Wednesday March 14th, 2012

Two jobs and almost three years ago, an intrepid reader spotted a certain Tennessee commit and wrote in: "Really? Jose Jose?"

To which I replied: "Also, this being Tennessee, there is every chance it'll end up being pronounced 'Josie Josie,' and won't THAT be a barrel a'squirrels."

My then-editor chimed in: "I'm just looking forward to seeing the back of his jersey, which will say simply, 'Jose.'"

Jose went on to decommit from the Vols and sign with Central Florida, where (following an unexpected stop in juco ball) he played in nine games as a sophomore. He now appears to be an available commodity once again after an altercation with his head coach:

Jose and O'Leary apparently exchanged words a few days prior to spring break and the conversation escalated into an argument, although Jose would not say what the two argued about.
