Ohio State dismisses Storm Klein
Before we get to the business of making funny to while away the offseason, let's discuss now-former Ohio State linebacker Storm Klein without jokes. Klein was dismissed from the Buckeyes over the weekend after a Friday domestic violence arrest. Columbus' NBC4 has the unappetizing details of the pertinent court documents:
According to the court hearing, the alleged altercation stemmed from an argument about the future of a relationship between Klein and the alleged victim.
The prosecutor said in court, "The defendent then grabbed the prosecuting witness and wrapped his arms around her body and grabbed her forearms causing scrapes. He purposefully threw her against the front door causing her head to hit the door.
How the people who do this kind of thing think it will ever end well, we will never know.
Urban Meyer released a brief statement after the announcement of Klein's ousting: "The charges filed against Storm Klein violate the core values of the Ohio State Football Program. As a result, Storm has been removed from the team. It has been made very clear that this type of charge will result in dismissal. If there are any changes in the charges, we will re-evaluate his status."
