The UMass Minutemen will honor first responders to and victims of the Boston Marathon bombings with commemorative helmet stickers at this Saturday's spring game. Another sort of honor will also await any marathon runners in attendance:

Charley Molnar, an avid runner himself, is offering those who were competing at the marathon a chance to 'Cross The Finish Line' this Saturday afternoon at the Minutemen's Spring Game at McGuirk Alumni Stadium. Those runners will be able to take a lap around the field, cross the finish line which will be set-up at the 50-yard line and will be presented a gift on behalf of the UMass football program. [...] As the runners take a lap around the field, their names will be displayed on the stadium's video board in recognition of their accomplishment. In a statement, Molnar said: "These runners deserve to finish what they started and we hope we can provide that for them. We want them to have that feeling of coming down the home stretch to the sound of applause and to have their friends and families greet them as they cross the line."
