Virginia Tech to wear camo helmets against Marshall for Military Appreciation Day

Tuesday September 17th, 2013

Virginia Tech isn't afraid to take chances when it comes to uniform combinations, and although I'm partial to the all-maroon-everything look with the old-school Hokie on the helmet, the camo helmets the school unveiled for its "white out" game (and Military Appreciation Day) aren't bad at all:

The maroon and orange blend together to produce a shade of deep red, but I'm sure it will pop nicely with the team's white jerseys. Virginia Tech has had offensive issues in its 2-1 start, but its defense has played great. Saturday's game against Marshall is the last early-season tune up before the Hokies enter ACC play. Four of their next five games are at home.
