Florida State will have a new logo in 2014. A report from ESPN on Wednesday noted that the Seminoles' logo will "undergo minor alterations."

On Wednesday night, however,'s Bud Elliott reported that the school's revamped logo, which was teased in a video last month, leaked at a Walmart. According to Elliott, Florida State officials had planned to reveal the updated logo on Friday, April 11.

In the ESPN report, Florida State vice president for university relations Liz Maryanski said the school is seeking more consistency across its brand with minor changes to its uniform and logo.

“The changes are very minor and the primary thing people will see is consistency in the garnet,” Maryanski said. “If you go into a sports store and look across the store, you’ll see as many shades of garnet as there are T-shirts, and we’re trying to get consistency in our colors.

“… We’ll still have what we call ‘the head’ with the Seminole [Tribe’s] blessing.”

Naturally, #FSUTwitter had plenty to say about the 'Noles latest development. Some fans weren't particularly happy.

Others saw room for opportunity in Florida State's new design.
