College football Week 6 odds: Betting odds for most notable matchups
There are just two matchups between top-25 teams in Week 6 of the college football season, with the 13th-ranked Northwestern Wildcats (5–0) visiting the 18th-ranked Michigan Wolverines (4–1) as eight-point road betting underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, and the fifth-ranked Utah Utes (4–0) hosting the 23rd-ranked Cal Golden Bears (5–0) as seven-point home favorites.
Ironically, Michigan’s lone loss this year took place at Utah 24–17 in the season opener on September 3, and the Wolverines are 3–1 against the spread in winning four games in a row since then.
But the Wildcats have been one of the surprises in the Big Ten this year, going 4–1 ATS with impressive wins over the Stanford Cardinal and Duke Blue Devils as underdogs.

Like Michigan, Northwestern has been winning with strong defense, as each school ranks in the top 5 nationally in scoring defense and total defense. Both have seen the UNDER cash in all of their games so far.
The Wolverines have won nine of their past 10 meetings with the Wildcats, who are 7–2 straight-up and ATS in their last nine games overall dating back to last season according to the OddsShark College Football Database.

In the Pac-12, the Golden Bears have also been surprisingly good early on, but they will face their toughest test on the road against the Utes. Cal is 3–2 ATS and coming off a pair of six-point wins against the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars in its past two games.
Meanwhile, Utah just enjoyed a bye week following a 62–20 upset of the Oregon Ducks on the road as a 10-point underdog. The Utes are 5–1 ATS in their previous six home games during the month of October while the Golden Bears have covered five consecutive conference road games.
Another intriguing game is the annual rivalry matchup between the Miami Hurricanes (3–1) and the 12th-ranked Florida State Seminoles (4–0), who are listed as 9.5-point home favorites.

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook suffered a hamstring injury in last Saturday’s 24–16 victory against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons but is considered day-to-day and could play versus Miami.
The Seminoles have won 29 of their last 30 games and beaten the Hurricanes five straight times, covering their past two meetings after failing to beat the line in their previous two matchups.
