Alabama adds former 5-star offensive lineman as graduate transfer
The University of Alabama football program will add former Florida State offensive lineman Landon Dickerson as a graduate transfer in time for fall camp.
Assuming Dickerson successfully finishes up his degree over the summer, he'll be eligible to play immediately as a redshirt junior with two years of eligibility remaining.
Dickerson (6-6, 320 pounds) was in Tuscaloosa over the weekend visiting with the Crimson Tide. BamaOnline was first to report his commitment to the Crimson Tide.
Originally in the Class of 2016 recruiting class, he was considered a 5-star prospect — 247Sports rated Dickerson the No. 5 offensive tackle and the No. 17 overall player in the nation. He was the No. 4 offensive tackle and the No. 31 overall player per its composite rankings.
Dickerson was considered a starter, but suffered season-ending injuries each year. He chose Alabama over Texas A&M, and his former head coach Jimbo Fisher, and wore No. 69 for the Semifinals.
