Alabama basketball to face North Carolina for first time since 1991-92
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Another piece to the Alabama men's basketball schedule was revealed when the pairings for the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas over Thanksgiving weekend were announced.
Alabama will open against North Carolina on Nov. 27 (1:30 p.m., ESPN or ESPN2).
The Tar Heels won ACC regular season title and reached the Sweet 16 while compiling a 39-7 record.
Depending on the results, the Crimson Tide will subsequently play either Michigan or Iowa State.
Alabama is 4-7 all-time against UNC, but the teams haven't played since the 1991-92 season. The Tar Heels won 64-55.
The Nate Oats era will tip off on Nov. 5, when Penn visits Coleman Coliseum.
