• ESPN's Chris Low, Alex Scarborough and Mark Schlabach got the lowdown about what kind of patient Nick Saban was after having hip-replacement surgery.

• Junior point guard Jordan Lewis has been selected to participate in the 2019 USA Basketball 3x3 National Championship at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on May 3-4. Prior to the national championship, Lewis will take part in a minicamp from May 1-2 before getting assigned to a 3x3 team. “I am so excited to have a chance to get back on the court and compete,“ she said in a release. “I’m happy to have another incredible opportunity to play the game at a high level.”

• A little something from a journalist who actually knows a lot about collegiate swimming:

• Alabama men’s tennis is returning to the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships for the second consecutive year after earning a No. 2 seed in the Austin Regional. The Crimson Tide (16-10) will take on No. 3 seed USF (17-7) in the first round on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Texas Tennis Cente. Texas (23-2) is the host and No. 1 seed and will play against No. 4 seed Tennessee Tech (10-13) on Friday afternoon. It’s the first time the men’s team has gone in back-to-back years since 2009-10.

• The women’s team will compete for the first time in the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships since 2015. Alabama earned a No. 3 seed in the Tallahassee Regional. The Crimson Tide (18-11) will take on No. 2 seed UCF (22-3) for the second time this season, while No. 1 seed and host Florida State (20-6) will play No. 4 South Alabama (22-4).
