• Robert Howard, the 2019 SEC Swimmer of the Year, won gold on the first day of the World University Games, being held in Napoli, Italy. He swam the third leg on Team USA’s opening relay, the 400-meter freestyle relay, and posted a 47.74 in the finals as part of a 3:11.08 effort, just off the World University Games record.
