Practice report: Updating Alabama’s injuries and the offensive line
Alabama practiced inside in full pads Tuesday.
The offensive line had another new look, although there wasn’t the rotating reporters saw in Monday. On the first unit, Landon Dickerson was at left guard and Chris Owens at center.
Senior Matt Womack was at left tackle on the second unit, next to freshman Pierce Quick at left guard and Emil Ekiyor Jr. at center. Kendall Randolph was the right guard. I didn’t see Scott Lashley.
Absent among the defensive linemen was true freshman Justin Eboigbe (foot), making it unlikely he’ll play against Duke on Saturday.
Redshirt freshman Stephon Wynn true freshman end Antonio Alfano went through drills. It appeared that freshmen Braylen Ingraham and Ishmael Sopsher were working with the scout team.
Reporters got a good look at a dime package. The first unit consisted of cornerbacks Trevon Diggs and Josh Jobe, safeties Shyheim Carter and Jared Mayden, with Patrick Surtain II at star and Xavier McKinney at money.
On hand were the ESPN crew working Saturday’s game against Duke and Reggie McKenzie of the Miami Dolphins.
Check out Nick Saban’s attention to detail in the video.
• Redshirt junior cornerback Nigel Knott: Out indefinitely with what Nick Saban has only described as a medical issue.
• Senior interior linebacker Josh McMillon: Out indefinitely with a knee injury.
• Freshman running back Trey Sanders: Out indefinitely with a left foot injury.
