The University of Alabama football team had seven players named to the preseason All-American teams by the Sporting News on Wednesday morning.

The Crimson Tide had two first-team selections, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and linebacker Dylan Moses.

Jeudy is a returning first-team selection from 2018

The SEC has the most first-team selections with eight, followed by the Big Ten, with seven. The ACC (six), Pac-12 (two), Big 12 (one), Independent (one) and American Athletic Conference (one) round out the list.

Sporting News is one of five outlets used by the NCAA to determine consensus All-American status at the end of each season.

It projects Alabama and Clemson to play again for the national championship, Jan. 13 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
