Report: Mark Ingram in Line for Job on 'Big Noon Kickoff'

After a 12-year NFL career, the Crimson Tide's first Heisman winner could soon be familiar among college football fans again.

Alabama's first Heisman trophy winner could soon be back in the living rooms of fans watching college football each weekend. 

According to a report from the New York Post, former Alabama running back Mark Ingram could soon be joining Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff” show.

He would be replacing fellow Heisman trophy winner Reggie Bush, who could be leaving Fox Sports over a contract dispute according to the report. 

The show runs every Saturday in the fall leading up to Fox's slate of college football games with the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac 12 conferences. It is hosted by Rob Stone and features analysts and reporters like Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, Urban Meyer, Charles Woodson, Bruce Feldman and Tom Rinaldi. 

Ingram has spent the last 12 seasons in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. He would retire from the Saints in order to begin his post-playing days with Fox Sports. 

Ingram has racked up over 8,100 yards and 65 rushing touchdowns in the NFL and is the Saints' all-time rushing leader. 

The running back was part of Nick Saban's first full signing class at Alabama in 2008 and was a major part of the rebuilding of the Crimson Tide program. He was at Alabama from 2008-2010, winning the 2009 Heisman trophy, before being drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2011 draft. 

He does have some experience in media and served as the sideline radio reporter  for Alabama at the 2022 Sugar Bowl.
