This week's recruiting corner highlights two players, who performed exceptionally well on Friday night, and the blue-chip prospects on official visits this weekend.

Mater Dei quarterback Bryce Young was the top performer from Friday night’s slate of games. Young threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 73 yards on the ground and two more rushing scores in his team’s victory over St. John Bosco.

In the final game of his high school career, Hewitt-Trussville defensive back Malachi Moore intercepted a ball late in the 4th quarter, returning it for a touchdown to secure an upset victory over, the state of Alabama’s top ranked team, Thompson.

Five-star wide receiver Rakim Jarrett, who is currently committed to LSU, is a player to watch. He is on an official visit this weekend in Tuscaloosa. Jarrett could, potentially, flip to the Crimson Tide.

The Crimson Tide men's basketball program has some important visitors this weekend, too. Five-star forward Isaiah Jackson and four-star forward Keon Ambrose are in town on official visits.

Jackson is deciding between the Crimson Tide, Syracuse, and Kentucky. He told Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog.com that his decision will come “sometime in the middle of November.”

Ambrose has the Crimson Tide in his top-five schools along with Dayton, USC, Arkansas, and NC State.
