Auburn Football Receives Crystal Ball for Five-Star WR Cam Coleman
Auburn is right back in contention for five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman.
Coleman, who committed to Texas A&M back in July, may not be committed to the Aggies much longer with head coach Jimbo Fisher having been fired.
It seems likely a flip is coming to the Tigers now that a crystal ball has been submitted.
Bud Elliot, a national recruiting expert for 247Sports, has submitted a crystal ball projecting Coleman to flip from Texas A&M to Auburn.
Coleman is the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 class and the No. 3 wide receiver.
Auburn's Best-Case Scenario at WR in the 2024 Recruiting Class
The Tigers have been looking for a bigger-bodied receiver to utilize on the outside since the departure of Seth Williams in 2020. Coleman could end up being that dude.
Hugh Freeze was known at Ole Miss for finding success with taller, physical receivers that could knock defenders down and make contested catches. The Tigers would be lucky to land Coleman's services, given the pursuit from so many other prestigious programs.
Auburn has already secured the commitment of five-star receiver Perry Thompson, who flipped from Alabama in the summer. The Tigers also have commitments from four-stars Bryce Cain and Malcolm Simmons.
If they were able to land Coleman, there's a world where they also flip five-star WR Ryan Williams from Alabama.
That's a world Auburn fans would like to live in.
