Auburn beats JSU 6-3 for its first true road win of the season

Auburn wins 6-3 over JSU behind great performances from the pitching staff and Cole Foster.

Auburn beats Jacksonville State 6-3 behind a dominant start from Konner Copeland and a big day at the dish from Cole Foster. 

This one had the makings of a pitcher's duel early as both starters were dominant, but the Auburn bats came alive in the seventh inning to put up a four spot. 

Will Cannon shut the door the last few innings on the mound, and the Tigers got a big road win. 

Auburn will be back in action on Friday against Southeastern Louisiana at 6 pm ct.

Ninth Inning Auburn leads 4-1

Foster will lead things off for the Tigers in the ninth. 

Foster rips his fourth base hit of the ball game. 

One on with no one out for Kirby. 

Kirby is hit with a pitch and Auburn has two on with no one out for Irish. 

Irish is down on strikes for the first out of the inning. 

Foster lines out for the second out of the inning. 

Josh Hall will pinch run for Kirby. 

Hill walks and the bases are loaded for Stanfield. 

Stanfield rips a base hit and Auburn leads 6-1. 

LaRue is down on strikes and we head to the bottom of the ninth with Auburn leading 6-1. 

Will Cannon will try and shut the door.

Cam Hill pinch hits for the Tigers and he rips a base hit to give Auburn a leadoff base runner. 

Stanfield goes down on strikes for the first out of the inning. 

Now LaRue will step in for the Tigers. 

LaRue grounds into a fielders choice. 

Two out and one on for Green. 

Green drops a base hit in front of the right fielder and LaRue moves over to third. 

Men on the corners for Bello. 

Bello lines out to second to end the top of the eighth. 

We head to the bottom with Auburn leading 4-1. 

Cannon is back on to pitch in the eighth for the Tigers. 

A fly out to Bello is the first out of the inning. 

A walk gives JSU a one out base runner. 

Cannon gets a strikeout for the second out of the inning. 

A ground out to Foster ends the eighth inning. 

We head to the ninth with Auburn leading 4-1. 

Seventh Inning JSU leads 1-0

Stanfield will leads things off for the Tigers. 

Stanfield is hit by a pitch and the Tigers have the leadoff man aboard. 

Wright is down on strikes for the first out of the inning. 

Stanfield steals second base and Auburn has a runner in scoring position. 

A wild pitch moves Stanfield over to third. 

Stanfield is thrown out at the plate after a ground ball to third. 

The Tiger center fielder probably should have stayed at third on that one.
