Auburn has reached out to former Marshall guard Andrew Taylor

Auburn is after a sharpshooting guard from Marshall.

Auburn has been looking for a few more pieces to finalize their 2023-24 roster, and the Tigers might have found that in Andrew Taylor.

Taylor is a six-foot-three guard from Corbin, Kentucky, who played his first four college basketball seasons at Marshall.

He averaged 20.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.1 steals last season for the Thundering Herd.

Taylor shot 36.4% from three last season and made three or more triples in 16 games for Marshall.

The 185-pound guard can drain them from deep early and often, which is exactly what Auburn needs.

Taylor plays suffocating defense which led to his 2.1 steals per game.

He also shot 80% from the charity stripe, so Auburn fans can relax when he shoots free throws if the Tigers land Taylor.

Taylor entered the portal on May 8th, so he definitely is far from a decision, but the former Marshall guard received a lot of interest once he hit the transfer portal.

Hopefully, Coach Pearl and company can land Taylor, as he would be a great finishing touch at the guard position for this 2023-24 roster.
