Cal landed its first running back in the class of 2020 when Chris Street of Junipero Serra High in San Juan Capistrano announced his commitment via social media on Sunday.

Street, listed as 5-foot-10, 181 pounds by Rivals, is rated as a three-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports. He visited the Cal campus this weekend, according to reports.

He is Cal’s 12th commitment and the sixth ranked among the top-100 players in California, according to Rivals.

Street rushed for 1,342 yards and 17 touchdowns last season, averaging 6.6 yards per attempt.

He picked Cal over five other Pac-12 schools who offered him a scholarship — Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State — along with the likes of Florida, Boston College and Nevada.

Rivals ranks Street as the nation’s 38th-best running back prospect, the No. 54 overall prospect in the state and California’s No. 3 running back.

He doesn’t get quite as much love from 247Sports, which has him as the No. 63 running back in the country, the No. 68 overall prospect in California.

No. 1-1

I like what I see. He's a hard runner to bring down, not just a fast and quick guy.
