Former Clemson Safety Suspended Three Games By NFL
Detroit Lions safety Jayron Kearse has been suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The former Clemson Tiger spent the first four season's of his NFL career playing for the Minnesota Vikings.
The suspension stems from an incident last October in which Kearse was arrested and charged with five misdemeanors, including suspicion of driving while intoxicated and possession of a firearm without a permit.
He will be allowed to suit up for all training camp practices and will be eligible to return to the 53-man roster on September 28.
