Why the different treatment

J Clarke

When the ACC decided to go with only intra-conference play but leaving open the possibility of rival games, the SI writers panned the ACC as being shrewd and underhanded, but when the SEC decided to only include conference games and killing rivalry games, nothing negative is said. Why? Are not our prejudices showing?

I'm not sure which writers you are referring to. Personally, I think the ACC made the right move making the SEC the bad guy.

Agree--The ACC made the first move, which placed the ball squarely in the SEC's court. Now, with the announcement that the SEC will play only conference games, they appear to be scared to play the little old ACC.

100% agree that the ACC did the right thing by getting out on front of this and making the SEC stand down so to speak.
