Good afternoon, Buffs fans. Colorado is wearing the icy all white uniforms and this is your live blog for the rest of the night. Check back constantly for live updates, news, and absurdist commentary from your host: me.

Despite the 12.5-point spread -- which is large, but not, like, that large -- I can't imagine how Colorado is going to stop Washington State's passing game, but that, as they say, is why they play the games.

4:18 p.m.: Looks like Washington State receiver Brandon Arconado, who has been hurt, will play today against Colorado. He has 25 catches for 315 yards and a touchdown this year, which makes him WSU's third-leading receiver.

4:23 p.m.: Hey, real quick: Do you guys want updates about the track team?

4:31 p.m.: Anybody? No? OK, then, no track updates.

4:32 p.m.: DT Jalen Sami won't play today. He got hurt against Oregon last week. True freshman Austin Williams will replace him and -- hoo boy -- this defense is in for it today. The good news is, Williams is gigantic. He's 6-foot-5, 320 pounds and was a three-star prospect across the board. Big opportunity for him.

4:35 p.m.: Also out for Colorado: safety Aaron Maddox, who didn't make the trip for reasons Colorado has not disclosed.

4:36 p.m.: If Colorado gives up less than 600 yards tonight, I'll call that a win.

4:38 p.m.: What about women's soccer? You looking for coverage of that?

4:41 p.m.: A Very Good Stat here by CU Buffs Stats: Washington State hasn't won a game yet this year when it completes less than 70 percent of its passes. That's a ludicrous fact that I'm not completely sure means anything, but it does give some measure of hope to this #lolrekt CU defense.

5 p.m.: It is 5 p.m., yet the game has not started.

5:02 p.m.: As Steven Montez predicted, its an utterly beautiful day in Pullman. Chamber of Commerce stuff, really.

5:17 p.m.: Washington State scores. 7-0.

5:24 p.m.: Washington State scores. 14-0. Oh boy.

5:34 p.m.: Colorado is 2-for-2 on "flea flickers leading to points" this year. 14-3, WSU.

5:39 p.m.: Oh, for crying out loud. Another Washington State touchdown. The Cougars didn't get the ball first, yet have scored three touchdowns in the first quarter. 21-3, WSU.

5:40 p.m.: Thinking it's within the realm of possibility that Washington State could score 80 tonight. I mean ... obviously it's possible. The Cougars are on pace for 84ish. But this might be one of those cases where not even the head coach can stop his own team from scoring. This is going exactly like I predicted, so send me a cookie.

5:51 p.m.: Mel Tucker just called for a 52-yard field goal, down 21-3 to Washington State early in the second quarter. And it make you wonder: What game does he think is going on here? He thinks this is a field-goal game? Has he ........ I mean ...... what game is he .... in what universe would that ........... let's say that field goal was made, which it wasn't, because college kickers more or less never make field goals the long. But let's say the field goal was good. It would be 21-6, with your defense having showed no sign whatsoever that it will get a single stop against Washington State. Not even one. Washington State will score 10 touchdowns tonight if it wants to. And Mel wants that field goal.

For goodness sake. This is not 1992.

6:02 p.m.: Mom voice: Steven! Steven! You stop that right now!

6:03 p.m.: Steven Montez has talent, but he screws up a lot. I've been accused of the same thing. So I don't know what to say.

7:19 p.m.: Washington State has not kept up the scoring, but Colorado is getting absolutely stoned by the WSU defense. I don't think CU's players feel very good about themselves anymore. The rest of the season is going to be a big challenge. The Buffaloes could lose every game left.

7:46 p.m.: OK, time to write. This game went great.
