The Duke Blue Devils have the nation’s top recruiting class for 2020, and coach Mike Krzyzewski might not be done.

As Coach K and his seniors met the media in Charlotte (below), center Mark Williams cut his list of college finalists to three. Duke made the cut, along with UCLA and Michigan.

Ohio State and Stanford, both of whom were in Williams’ final five, which he announced at the end of August, were dropped from consideration. He also cut NC State and Virginia Tech earlier in the summer.

Williams will make his final college choice on Nov. 1, which was when his official visit to Duke was originally scheduled. According to reports, he’ll move up his Duke visit to Oct. 25, giving the Blue Devils the last chance to make an impression on him.

Williams has also visited UCLA and Michigan, as well as since-eliminated Ohio State.

The seven-footer is a four-star recruit, who is ranked No. 29 in the class by 247 Sports and 38 by Rivals.

Based on his highlight film, Williams plays much taller than seven feet, looking like a more mobile, self-assured Manute Bol or Tacko Fall. Much of the offense in his highlight film came from putbacks where he was able to reach up from in front of the rim to stuff in missed shots. He can also reach and dunk lob passes from anywhere in the paint.

Williams also has long arms allowing him to block shots from behind.

He’s not a raw big man getting by on his size, however. Williams is mobile in the paint and also showed off a nice turnaround jumper. He has the ability to trigger or continue fast breaks with accurate transition passing.
