Florida begins midweek series against Jacksonville tonight.
The Gators (3-0) are taking a hot bat into Jacksonville, having scored 34 runs on as many hits against Marshall over opening weekend, ranking as the third-highest run total of a season-opening series of manager Kevin O'Sullivan's thirteen-year tenure according to Florida baseball communications.
Florida hit seven home runs over the weekend, ranking fourth nationally. 1B Brady Smith led the team with two against Marshall.
Freshman LHP Hunter Barco will make his debut start on the mound against Jacksonville on Tuesday night at 6 P.M., and Jacksonville will make a trip to McKethan Stadium Wednesday for a 6 P.M. contest as well. The Gators have not announced Wednesday night's starter.
