It was one versus two. It was epic, and it told us quite a bit.

LSU (9-0, 5-0 SEC) 46. Alabama (8-1, 5-1 SEC) 41.

It started out all Tigers. Joe Burrow and company were up 33-13 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on the Crimson Tide.

But, we all knew a Nick Saban team wasn’t just going to fold. Did LSU learn from Georgia the past two years? It doesn’t matter how down Alabama is, it’s never over.

So of course, the Tide rolled back and made it a one-possession content in the fourth quarter. But, the Tigers offense stayed on the gas. They never let up and finished of Saban’s squad on the road.

The main thing we learned is that LSU is really damn good. We kind of already knew that, but we didn’t know if Alabama could be the team to finally slow down this offense. It wasn’t.

As far as the Gators are concerned, it seems with every passing week, UF’s loss in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, looks more impressive. That game paired with Florida winning the remained of its games, which it should do, will keep the Gators in the top 10.

Western Kentucky 45. Arkansas (2-8, 0-6 SEC) 19.

Arkansas, wow. That’s all I have to say.

Tennessee (5-5, 3-3 SEC) 17. Kentucky (4-5, 2-5 SEC) 13.

Tennessee is on their classic mini hot streak to end the season and tell its fans the Vols don’t suck. Don’t worry, they’ll suck at the start of the next year again after winning the Birmingham Bowl or something this year. Kentucky is back to the Kentucky of old as well.

Georgia (8-1, 5-1 SEC) 27. Missouri (5-4, 2-3 SEC) 0.

Florida needs to have a similar score when it plays Missouri next week. I get that “Missouri is actually pretty good,” but they’re not. UF need to stomp them. It shouldn’t be close. Also, Georgia is going to Atalanta, Gator fans. Accept it.

Appalachian State 20. South Carolina (4-6, 3-4 SEC) 15.

I won’t grill South Carolina for losing this one. App State is really good. It’s a tough year to have to play them. Especially when you’ve recently had an emotional win over Georgia and an emotional loss against Florida.

Ole Miss (4-6, 2-4 SEC) 41. New Mexico State 3.

This game means nothing. Ole Miss isn’t that good and New Mexico State hasn’t won a game all year.

Overall, LSU-Alabama told us the most and a few other games told us a little. Nothing much changed for the Gators this week, especially since they did what they needed to against Vanderbilt.
