Just over 24 hours prior to kickoff at the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, the Florida Gators received some good news.

Wide receiver/athlete Marc Britt (Miami Christian School - Miami, FL) has committed to Florida, after deciding between the Gators, LSU, and Penn State. Britt was previously committed to Miami, but re-opened his recruitment late last year, with bigger offers looming.

247Sports.com considers Britt as the No. 11 ATH in the 2020 class, and the No. 276 prospect in the nation.

The 6-2, 190 lb. athlete possesses lengthy arms and legs, with solid athleticism yet lacking elite speed. Spending time at both receiver and safety during his career at Miami Christian School, Britt provides the Gators with size at both positions and flexibility to fill out the rest of their signing class at either position.

GatorMaven recruiting expert Brian Smith left this short scouting report for Britt last week, considering him to be a key target for Florida's 2020 class before Britt ultimately committed.

Marc Britt, ATH, 6-2, 190, Miami (Christian School) – Still deciding between a handful of schools, he is the type of athlete that can play on both sides of the football. Regardless of what side of the ball the Gators (or other programs for that matter) recruit Britt, situations change once a prospect enrolls. Players usually jump at the chance to earn playing time, so even if he comes to UF as a defensive back or wide receiver, that’s not what’s important. If the Gators need him to move, Britt possesses the physical talent to make it happen. Just keep that in mind Gator fans. The more versatile a player can be, the better. Britt has set his commitment date for November 1st, so make sure to keep an eye on him.

Brian Smith will be posting a film review of Britt's game here at GatorMaven shortly.
