Richard LeCounte - Jason Vorhees

Richard LeCounte III is a rising junior. He started 13 of 14 games for the Bulldogs last year, and there is a strong possibility that he could declare for the NFL Draft after this season. He'll be a vital piece for the Bulldogs' secondary in 2019.

Yesterday, the UGA Basketball twitter accounted tweeted the basketball team doing some conditioning drills in the sand.

After they were done, they posted a group photo of the entire team to announce the team's "Dawg of the Week" award. This week's went to true freshman, Toumani Camara. But, if you look really close, you'll see Georgia Football's Richard LeCounte III standing next to Donnell Gresham Jr.

LeCounte III was actually a really good basketball player in high school. During his career, he averaged 16.4 PPG (points per game), 6.3 RPG (rebounds per game), and 2.2 SPG (steals per game).

While football and basketball season do overlap some, we've seen this done before. Former South Carolina Gamecock, Bruce Ellington played both sports. He was even an SEC All-Freshman recipient. Ellington is now playing for the Houston Texans.

Whether it's just LeCounte III just trying to get some extra work in, or he's actually going to be a member on the basketball team, it is still cool to see him out there with the Hoop Dawgs. We will update you in the future if we have any more news on this.
