NCAA Tournament first-round upsets, scores: Virginia stunned by Furman

March Madness brackets are already busted

The 2023 NCAA Tournament tipped off Thursday morning and we already have a huge upset.

No. 13 Furman upset No. 4 Virginia 68-67 on a last-second 3-pointer by JP Pegues. It is Furman's first NCAA Tournament win since 1974 and sends the Paladins into the second round against the winner of No. 5 San Diego State vs. No. 12 Charleston.

Many experts have picked Charleston to upset the Aztecs, which would give fans a second-round matchup between a 12-seed and a 13-seed. 

Gonzaga Bulldogs fans can sit back and enjoy Thursday's games while they prepare for the Zags' matchup with Grand Canyon on Friday afternoon. Here's a look at all of the first-round NCAA Tournament game times and scores:
