With it still being so early in the tournament, it’s not surprising to see some very heavy favorites and underdogs for this first weekend. However, we’re predicting quite a close matchup between the Indiana Hoosiers and West Virginia Mountaineers.
Right off the bat, the Big Ten and Big 12 were two solid conferences this season, and Indiana and WVU performed similarly within their respective conferences. The Hoosiers went 16-8 in the Big Ten and 41-18 overall. Similarly, the Mountaineers went 15-9 in the Big 12 and 39-18 overall. While we expect a tight contest, our experts’ Indiana vs. West Virginia predictions are focused on WVU.
